Set a call background for an individual contact
Method 1: By default, a contact’s profile picture is displayed as the call background when calling that person.
To set a profile picture, go to Contacts > select the contact > enter the edit screen > tap the profile picture > choose a photo from Albums or take a new photo.
Note: If no profile picture is set, or the selected image is too small, the system call background will be used.
Method 2: On Android 15 and later, go to Contacts > select the contact > edit screen > Call background > turn off Prioritize contact profile picture as background. You can then choose from available system pictures. Follow system settings is the default call background.
Note: Contacts saved on a SIM card and unknown numbers are not supported.
Set one call background for all calls
On Android 15 and later, go to Phone > tap the three-dot icon in the upper-right corner > Call settings > Call background. Select from the pre-installed system pictures or add up to three custom images. A contact with its own call background will keep that individual setting.
